Two reclining chairs, one glass-topped coffee table, and an aluminium frame that cannot rust. That’s the whole point of this bistro set. Standard garden chairs keep you bolt-upright until your back starts complaining. These have side handles so you can lean back to the angle that actually suits you, whether you’re having a morning coffee, reading for an hour, or doing what reclining chairs are for and drifting off in the sun. At a reclined length of 119cm, it’s made for proper relaxing, not perching.

The frame is powder-coated aluminium, so it cannot rust, meaning you can leave it outside all year round. Steel-frame sets rust from the inside out because moisture gets into joints and bolt holes where powder coating can’t fully protect them. By the time you see rust on the outside, the frame is already on the way out. This one isn’t built like that. The brown rattan is UV-stabilised HDPE too, which matters because UV exposure is what makes cheaper materials degrade. Unlike PVC rattan used on cheaper sets, HDPE doesn’t go brittle and crack after a couple of hot summers.

You get two reclining chairs, 10cm-thick cushions, and a coffee table with 5mm clear tempered safety glass. The seat height is 48cm, so getting in and out feels easy rather than low and awkward. The table stands 55cm high, which works well for drinks, books, and lunch plates on a balcony, courtyard or small patio. We only sell reclining garden furniture because rigid chairs are uncomfortable after half an hour and life is too short to sit upright in your own garden. All you need to do is store the cushions when they’re not in use. They aren’t waterproof by design, because waterproof cushions feel clammy and the coating usually cracks after a couple of seasons.
