The frame is aluminium, and aluminium cannot rust, meaning you can leave the set outside all year round without worrying about the frame rotting from the inside. That’s the trouble with steel-frame sets: moisture gets into joints and bolt holes where coatings can’t fully protect it, and by the time rust shows on the outside, the damage is already underway. The woven finish is UV-stabilised HDPE rattan, not PVC. HDPE handles sun properly, while cheaper PVC rattan turns brittle and starts cracking after a couple of summers in UV. (HDPE is non-toxic and recyclable; PVC is not.)

Each chair measures 79cm deep, 66cm wide and 103cm high, so you get a proper seat rather than a cramped perch. The backrest and footrest operate together, so the recline feels natural rather than fiddly. Cushions are included, and the 44cm square table is topped with tempered safety glass that handles British temperature swings better than standard glass. Store the cushions indoors when they’re not in use, because they’re not waterproof by design. Waterproof cushions feel clammy, trap heat, and the coating tends to crack over time. The covers unzip and wash at 30°C.
