The frame is aluminium, meaning it cannot rust. That matters because steel frames typically fail from the inside out: moisture gets into joints and bolt holes where powder coating can’t fully protect. By the time rust shows on the outside, the frame is already weakened. The grey rattan is UV-stabilised HDPE rather than PVC, so it keeps its shape better in sun and doesn’t go brittle after a couple of hot summers.

Comfort is the point of a reclining chair. Standard garden chairs often feel fine for around 20 minutes, then people start shifting about. Each chair comes with a 10cm-thick charcoal cushion included. That extra thickness is what helps it stay supportive after a proper sit. The chair measures roughly 78 x 66cm, with a seat height of 48cm. When fully reclined, the length reaches 119cm. The coffee table is 55cm high with a 5mm clear tempered glass top, which is a sensible height for drinks, books and lunch plates.

Care is straightforward. Store the cushions when you’re not using them, then wipe or hose down the aluminium frame and HDPE rattan as needed. The cushion covers remove and can be machine washed at 30°C. The cushions are not waterproof—waterproof covers can feel clammy to sit on and coatings can crack after a couple of seasons.
